Weekend with the dogs (and family)

Here's a few photos of the dogs this past weekend, when we went to visit family. We did actually visit family, but for some reason I never seem to catch very many photos of humans, mostly canines.

This is what Ranger looked like when we got home. So exhausted he was practically falling off the couch.

Primitive Camping

A few weekends ago, our little family went camping.

 Our sweet little "primitive" cabin.
An inside view of the cabin. Perfect size for us.

It even had a screened in patio which was perfect. Ranger liked to go out there and watch out for predators.
Camping included lots of family walks and talks.
There were two twin beds that we just pushed together. Here's Ranger getting comfty in my sleeping bag.
Check out this action shot -- Ranger is mid-air trying to figure out what PK is going standing in his sleeping bag.
We spent all Sunday morning sitting on the porch, in our sleeping bags, reading the Word, listening to music, eating cookies for breakfast and playing games on our phones. The hours just flew by.
Sleepy dog on the ride home.

This weekend was a must-repeat!

Watermark Women's Retreat

Last weekend, I got to attend my first real-grownup-adult-womens retreat. It was a much needed time of fellowship and quiet time. Gorgeous scenery and fun activities...

Sallie & I went on a trail ride on horseback!

And then we did a zip line across a lake!

My favorite nugget from the teaching over the weekend:
Psalms 118:24 says "This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Use this phrase during your daily life, but replace the word "day" with anything or anyone you want.

Example: This is the {husband} the LORD has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it! Enter your family, co-workers, strangers, etc. and it will CHANGE your mindset about the people and things in your life and teach you to rejoice, regardless of your circumstances.
