Can’t believe we’re going to have a baby in our arms in about 10 weeks! Eek! Today I’m 30 weeks 4 days along. January will be here before you know it!
In the past few weeks, PK’s parents came up to visit for a weekend and helped us shop for and order a glider chair and ottoman for the baby’s room! Of course it’s like 10 weeks delivery, hoping it arrives before Christmas time. We also bought a car seat/stroller travel system! Got both of those items for 20% off at Buy Buy Baby – woot! Luckily, those they had in stock, but they didn’t have the extra base in stock so that’s still on our list.
{Oh ya… my sister-in-law announced she’s pregnant too! Our fourth niece or nephew is on the way, due in June! Her family just moved cross country to Maryland and luckily they survived Hurricane Sandy without any damage to themselves or their new house!}
Had a regular checkup on 10/18/12 (27w4d) and my doctor said that my hands, feet and face didn’t look swollen, so I thought that was awful nice of her to say. Then on 10/31/12 (29w3d) we had our next sonogram and found out the good news that my placenta has moved up! Yay! So I’m officially off restrictions and don’t have to schedule a C-section early! Baby was about 3 lbs and 26th percentile again.
This past weekend we took our first class at the hospital for baby CPR and general baby care. I thought it was pretty good information and was glad that we took the time to do it! Then we got to have our first baby shower thrown by our community group!! They through us a couples “Moustache Bash” shower and my parents and PK’s mom were even able to attend! The décor and theme was absolutely adorable, they had different mustaches and a fabric backdrop for mustache photo ops. Everything was great – the food, the company, the gifts, what a blessing these sweet friends are! Emily’s two blog posts describe it best with pictures! See here for the décor and prep and here for photos of all the peeps!
Lots of things to look forward to in the coming weeks! We’re going on a tour of the hospital this evening and then another baby shower this weekend! Lots to be thankful for. Happy November!
