Blessed

PK just said, "Ya know wife, I don't know where life is gonna take us." And lately we kinda like it like that.

Not sure how long we are going to be in our current jobs. Not sure if we should buy a house next year. Not sure how we are going to balance our family during the holidays. Not sure when I'm going to rid of this cough. Not sure if we should get another dog. Not sure when we should have kids. Not sure what we should eat for dinner. Not sure if we should root for the Rangers or the Rays. All we can be sure of is that we love our lives right now and that we don't have to worry about what the Lord has in store with us.

PK and I are in the garage right now. He is working on his latest master wood creation. It smells like oak wood, sawdust and sweat in here. Ranger is laying on the cool garage floor, chewing on the leftover scraps of wood and occasionally eats a bug crawling by. We are so lucky that we can trust him to listen to us and not run after every neighbor he hears. I'm sittting in a folding chair, eating sunflower seeds, cuddled in a warm blanket. The weather could not be more wonderful. It makes us think of baseball seasons of the past.

We've got a lot of things to look forward in this last quarter of the year. My parents are coming up next weekend to take us to the state fair and the Texas Tech vs. Baylor game. We are going to Austin College homecoming. Ranger turns 1 year old on Halloween! We might go to Wurstfest in New Braunfels. The holidays, duh. Going on a Carnival cruise to see Chris Ray. Christmas parties. The Coopers are coming to town (from Alaska) in December and going to stay with us! And so much more...

I'm blessed to have a funny husband, a loyal dog, an interesting job, friends who will listen, a big house, loving family and a merciful Lord.
