One morning while we were in NYC, we took the subway down to the Staten Island Ferry. This is a sweet deal, if you're not interested in going to Liberty Island to see the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island, then you can take this FREE ferry over to Staten Island. It's about a 20 minute ride each way, and they make you get off the ferry in Staten Island, but you can just hop right back on. You get great views of the Manhatten skyline, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
This was probably the best deal we got... free entertainment and good pictures!
